zkSubscription

Note: Subscriptions are due to be released in Q3 2024

On-chain Subscriptions enable strategy creators to sell access to their Investment Strategies.

Subscriptions are charged on a monthly basis and are managed entirely by smart contracts which ensure the recurring monthly payments have been received and subscribers are eligible to receive access to future Investment Ideas.

What Exactly is being Sold?

In all cases, the subscription is for a 'share of token'.

Practically this means that when a new Investment Idea is created (minted), subscribers will be granted a share of token during the creation process.

In selling a 'share of token', the strategy creator is passing data in the form of the NFT to subscribers.

How Much is the Subscription For?

Strategy creators set the monthly subscription amount for their strategies. It is their product to sell.

"Zero Knowledge" Subscription

Zero knowledge of the subscribing investor, by the creator is critically important to ensure that the roles of the strategy creators and investors are clearly defined. It should be considered to be like a Chinese Wall. The creator:

  • has no knowledge of who the subscribing investor is, other than the wallet address

  • has no knowledge of any aspect of the investor's financial situation

  • has no knowledge of the investor's portfolio

  • has no knowledge of any connected brokerage accounts

  • has no knowledge of the investor's risk appetite or goals

  • has no knowledge of whether the investor is executing any trades based on the communicated Investment Ideas

  • has no knowledge of whether the investor does or does not profit from the communicated Investment Ideas

  • does not manage money on behalf of the investor

  • is not advising the investor on their investments

  • is not executing trades on behalf of the investor

Conversely:

  • the investor never shares any personal or financial information with the strategy creator

  • the investor never connects a brokerage account

  • the investor never shares API keys, security tokens or another type of access which may give the creator access to their investments

The "zero knowledge" nature of the subscription enforces the two roles:

  • Creators sell access via 'share of token' to Investment Ideas

  • Investors are responsible for their own investing decisions
